Auction Recap
BCinDC would like to thank everyone who participated in our successful auction. With the help of people who donated items and generous people who bid, we were able to auction off 8 different boxes to raise money for the 2011 Convention. The more we raise, the lower registration costs will be… and the more we can do at the convention!
We are taking a break from the auction for now but we have a few other auction boxes planned for, perhaps, late October. So subscribe to our site to find out as soon as any new, exciting boxes are up.
Remembering Becky
On August 30, 2010, we tragically lost a member of our BookCrossing family, Becky Johns. Beloved daughter of Andy (ResQGeek) and Sandy and loving sister of Cindy, her story ended far too soon. Our sympathies are with the Johns family. We were blessed to have known her.
BookCrossers who want to contribute to a gift of flowers, fruit (to be sent later when the Johns home isn’t overflowing with perishable food), and a memorial fund for a charity of the family’s choosing can donate here. You can also send cards and letters, which we will be compiling together in a remembrance book from BookCrossers.
