BCinDC & the 2011 Convention

On Sunday, November 21 at 11:00am BCinDC BookCrossers met up with Pennsylvania BookCrossers fro ABXC at the Book Thing of Baltimore, Inc. After helping themselves to books, the BookCrossers headed to lunch at 1:00 at KosherBite to enjoy great food, talk about books, and exchange more books.

On Sunday, November 7, members of BCinDC met in Washington, D.C., to do a trial run of the Museum Hopper activity that will be just one part of the 2011 Convention. We managed to make it to all of the items in a dozen different museums/locations and had time to visit a gift shop or two as well. We’re pleased now to be able to call it the Literary Museum Hopper activity!

On October 9, BCinDC met in Bethesda, MD at La Madeleine to talk and swap books. It was wonderful catching up with each other.

On Saturday, September 25 a bunch of BookCrossers went to the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C. We enjoyed the festival and met up with some Library Thing members in front of the Natural History Museum. We gave out some books and had a nice chat. Afterward, some of us went back to the festival to hear more authors talk and to collect some goodies from the tables.
