Kensington Day of the Book 2010 Recap
We released 697 books at the International Day of the Book festival in Kensington, MD on April 25. Mom-Oyster managed to hold the rain off for us all day, but the forecast kept away some festival-goers. We had a lot of fun giving away free books and talking about BookCrossing with festival-goers and authors!
BookCrossers who helped out at the BCinDC booth were: authorauthor, florafloraflora, KateKintail, MaryZee, Mom-Oyster, nat4lee, ResQgeek, and SqueakyChu (event organizer).
Our next event is the Gaithersburg Book Festival on May 15.
Day of the Book in Kensington
We wish members melydia & crrcookie safe travels as they journey to Amsterdam for the 2010 BookCrossing Convention! Our next meetup will be April 25 at the International Day of the Book Festival in Kensington, Maryland. You can find out more about the festival (which will go on, rain or shine) at their website and their facebook event page. So certainly collect, register, and make release notes for the books you’re planning to bring to the festival. Last time we gave away 1,000 books. Can we do that again this year?
Welcome!
Please pardon our dust
The BC in DC website is currently under construction. We hope to be back soon. In the meantime, please visit our BookCrossing bookshelf for information on upcoming events. Thanks!
