Last call for pre-convention fundraising
The April 7 deadline for choosing hair colors has passed, but melydia is still hoping she’ll join us with colored hair for the convention. We’re making an exception to the rule and if we get to 80% by Wednesday, April 13, melydia will dye her hair the winning color (Let’s go Pink!)
The current total is almost 79%. So please donate today so melydia won’t feel left out and so the convention planning team won’t be stuck with a huge bill from the hotel.
Tweeting about the Convention
Are you getting ready to tweet about the 10th Anniversary BookCrossing Convention this upcoming week & weekend? If so, please use the special hashtag: #BCinDC so everyone can follow your tweets!
There is also a Facebook Event and a Flickr Photo Sharing Group.
BookCrossing CEO Joins the Fundraising Efforts
We’re excited to officially announce that Bruce, BookCrossing CEO, has agreed to have dyed hair during the convention, but only if we reach the 95% spot on our donation meter!
Remember, the deadline for hair coloring donations is April 7, in order to allow people time to get their hair dyed before they begin traveling. So ask your family, friends, and other BookCrossers to donate now! If Bruce dyes his hair, you can bet we’ll be posting lots of photos of it for everyone to see.
